How to share your faith without scaring people away

I've tried sharing my faith in Jesus a few different ways and have found a few things that work for me and would like to step out and see how else I can reach out to others without beating them over the head with my Bible. We've all seen the entheusiastic "witnesses" that have good intentions of saving the world from Hell, but, in my opinion, they go about it the wrong way. I believe there is Hell and I have a burden to lead as many people to Christ as possible. It's become almost like a business venture for me. I take it seriously but I also try to use common sense and find ways to bring God up in a more casual way that doesn't make someone feel they are being bombarded. There are a few methods I use on a regular basis that doesn't overwhelm people.

Gospel Tracts - This is a great way for shy people to get The Word out, pardon the pun. You can buy these short gospel pamplets or booklets online or you can do what I do now, and that is to go somewhere online like Vistaprint.com and write your own tracts and get 250 for free and just pay shipping. This is the one method I use all the time. I love changing the wording up or the theme occasionally to reach a certain target. There are many different templates to choose from. You can also get creative and use WordPerfect to make up alot of tracts you can cut out once you print them or make fliers to fold up and leave at the library or wherever.

T-shirts and hats - I love to wear my favorite Christian shirt to plant my little seed wherever I go. You may think wearing a hat or shirt doesn't do anything but you may be getting the attention of someone who is going through a hard time and needs prayer. I've had people notice me literally wearing my faith and strike up a conversation with me. They may just read your shirt and that tiny seed is planted. They now have Jesus in their subconscious. My husband has a shirt that says " Jesus beat the Devil with a big, ugly stick." I love that shirt and others comment on it alot.

Website- I also have a website which I've posted on my profile that I put on my business card tracts. You can share your own personal testimony and have the sinners prayer on there. I'll never know how many people I've affected by having my website but one day I will.

Bumper Stickers - You can buy these at a Christian book store, as well as the hats and shirts. You can also go online and find a site that will let you make your custom faith sticker.

There are probably many other ways of sharing your faith but these are just a few. I hope it inspires you to step out and share your faith.
